Today, it remains a coveted costume piece among the historic reenactors who continue to wear it into battle. But have you ever wondered how it is created? We joined traditional maille makers Nick Checksfield and Mark Hale to reveal the skills and process of making a full coat of maille, which can have around 2.8 kilometers of wire within it and take up to a year to create.“
