Schriftliche nein – wir befinden uns noch in der Zeit der schriftlosen Kulturen, aber bildliche. Es gibt Ritz-, Stich-, und mit weißer Farbe aufgemalte Zeichnungen, die „Männchen“, „Häuschen“ oder symbolträchtige Verzierungskombinationen auf Hauswänden aus Lehm oder Keramik in Wiederholung zeigen.

Are there any finds of text or pictures from the lake dwelling people?
Written records none – we are still in the period of the cultures without writing, but we have pictures. There are drawings done by scratching, engraving and filled with white paint. They repeatedly show small people, small houses or combinations of decorations with symbolic value on the clay walls of the houses and on ceramics.
