What musical instruments did people use in the Middle Ages?
In those days, people knew stringed instruments like the harp, lyre, lute and the hurdy-gurdy. The blown instruments they knew were horn, trumpet, bagpipes and flute. And then the percussion instruments: drums, timpan, rattle, clatter, bells, cymbals and tambourins.

Welke instrumenten had men in de Middeleeuwen?
In de Middeleeuwen kende men diverse snaarinstrumenten zoals de harp, de lier de luit en de draailier. Er waren ook verschillende blaasinstrumenten: hoorn, trompet, schalmei, doedelzak en fluit. Dan waren er ook nog slaginstrumenten: trommels, pauken, ratels, kleppers, klokken, bellen, bekkens en tamboerijnen.
